Communauté Protestante de Noyon

The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with the AEEI.

The Communauté Protestante de Noyon is a young church which opened its doors in September 2012 in John Calvin’s native town. Situated an hour north of Paris, Noyon is a small commuter town of 15 000 inhabitants (30 000 inhabitants including the surrounding villages). The town has a number of structures which accommodate refugees and people in difficult situations. The church has been able to help some of these families both on a spiritual and practical level.

Our vision is to announce the Word of God in its entirety in order to enable the inhabitants of Noyon and its surrounding area both to encounter Jesus in a personal way and to follow Jesus in their daily life. We have seen God transform lives again and again through the power of His word from the very first service.

Our church community is made up of people from several nationalities (about 15) and of various age groups, including a large number of children. God has been giving us a glimpse of what life will be like in Heaven. In December 2018, through God’s grace, and thanks to constant prayer support and financial gifts from individuals and churches in Europe and the United States, we acquired the movie theater we had been renting in part for services and activities.

Unfortunately, our building was closed down in February 2020 for technical issues. Again thanks to much prayer and generous financial gifts, we were able to start work on the main part of the building and gain permission to restart church services in the main hall in January 2021. A considerable amount of work is still needed, however, to transform the remaining halls into rooms for our various Sunday School and Youth groups, fellowship and other meetings.

Our God is faithful and we trust in Him finishing His good work through our church building to reach the Noyon people with the gospel.
