Didasko Afrique Francophone

Pierre Klipfel received his theological training at the Geneva Bible Institute (IBG) and the Jean Calvin Faculty. Since 2011, he has directed the Transcultural Mission program at IBG. He chairs Évangile 21, the European French-speaking branch of The Gospel Coalition, where he also leads French-language expansion. Married to Heidi, he is the father of four adult children.

The vision for Didasko Africa’s ministry arose from an alarming observation highlighted by Professor Donald A. Carson: more than 80% of pastors in French-speaking Africa minister without sufficient theological training and are sorely lacking in biblical resources.

Faced with this immense challenge, Pierre launched Didasko Africa with the support of Action Biblique and Évangile 21. Its mission: to offer solid training and accessible biblical resources to church leaders in French-speaking Africa, who are often deprived of formal biblical education.

This ministry draws on Pierre’s more than 30 years of teaching experience, particularly through IBG’s decentralized courses.

Africa has more than 20 French-speaking countries, with approximately 180 million French speakers: the need for theological training and biblical resources there is immense.
