The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with Alliance Biblique Française.
Bible for Dyslexia
A significant portion of the French population (5-10%) struggles to read the Bible. For people with dyslexia, the shape of the letters, their size, and their spacing can create confusion while reading. Words get jumbled, fatigue sets in more quickly, and comprehension is disrupted.
Alliance Biblique Française (French Bible Society) is creating a Bible specifically adapted for dyslexic individuals in collaboration with specialists, speech therapists, and people with specific learning disabilities related to written language. The initial feedback has been incredibly encouraging. Gwendal said: “I loved reading this Bible with its typography adapted to my reading difficulties. Thank you!” Emmanuel shared: “This simplified reading helps the brain decipher words and sentences more easily. The Word can then reach the heart and grow like a seed.”
The layout and editing work still needs refinement, and it represents a significant investment. To bring this project to completion, they need to raise €20,000.
