The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with AEEI.
Cergy-Pontoise Church Project
The Cergy-Pontoise church (EPECP) is a diverse community made up of men, women and children from many different backgrounds, all united by the joy of sharing the same faith in Jesus Christ, as taught by the Bible. This cultural diversity is a real treasure, and the church aspires to create a haven of peace, unity and welcome where everyone feels at home. Since inception in 1993, they have met in premises lent by the town of Cergy, but are facing capacity constraints. Since the 2020 pandemic, gatherings are legally limited to a maximum of 50 places, requiring the organization of two services on Sunday mornings.
In search of a larger site, the church is acquiring a former restaurant in a business park in Boissy-L’Aillerie, a town of 2,000 inhabitants adjacent to Cergy-Pontoise. The new premises, with a ground-floor surface area of 300m2 (~3,200 sq ft), are perfectly suited to the Church’s needs. It will feature a large hall for 150 people, and several smaller rooms for various church activities.
EPECP’s own funds and a loan will cover the purchase price of the site of €410,000, but substantial work is needed to make the property ready for use. These total work costs are estimated at €200,000 euros, including renovation of the floors, installation of partitions and windows, false ceilings, heating, electricity, plumbing, painting, renovation of the restrooms, external fittings and furnishings.
The church needs your partnership through prayer and in finances. Please consider a generous gift to allow this church to better serve its community with the love and salvation offered in Jesus Christ.
