The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with CAEF.
Mickaël Lasnes
Mickaël Lasnes serves as pastor at the CAEF church in Vichy and is continuing ongoing pastoral formation with FLTE. Hear from Mickaël as he shares his calling:
We are the Lasnes family: Mickaël, Hélène, Sarah, and Judicaël. Our plan is for me to receive training so that I can better serve God’s Church.
I am a pastor at a church in a beautiful French city called Vichy.
God called me when I was 16 years old. I later discovered what the Church is and what it means to be a Christian through GBU (InterVarsity). After earning my master’s degree in computer science, I did a one-year internship in a ministry focused on the Word, and God convinced me that I should serve Him in this way.
I served as a missionary with GBU for 10 years, and then God led me to serve Him in pastoral ministry. I then returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in theology while holding down a secular job to help finance part of my studies. Since 2022, I have served as a pastor in training, then as a part-time pastor—first in Clermont-Ferrand (home of the famous Michelin tire), and now in Vichy (famous for its thermal baths). Since the church lacks sufficient financial resources, I have so far worked my other part-time job.
Today, I would like to resume my theological studies while continuing this part-time secular job, so that I may be better equipped. I will continue my pastoral ministry alongside this. I am seeking partners to pray for and with us, and to support us financially, so that we can remain focused on the mission.
I’d like to share a prayer that has been guiding me at this time: My God, I ask you for two favors. Grant them to me until the end of my life. Keep evil and lies far from me, and do not let me become too poor or too rich. Give me just what I need to live. If I have too much, I may betray You by saying, ‘What use is the Lord?’ If I have too little, I may steal and thus dishonor my God (Proverbs 30:7–10).
Would you be willing to take on this challenge with us?
Thank you for your support and generosity!
