The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with Charis France.

Church Project – Montceau les Mines

After many years of faithful service by David and Susie Hobbert, the Charis Church in Montceau-les-Mines is continuing the vision to reach the region with the Gospel. The congregation of 30 adults and 10 children is stepping up in three venues to make a difference in this historical mining city and its surroundings. First, leaders are developing discipleship groups for men and women to shepherd every member towards their next step of faith and service. Secondly, church members are taking actions to engage the different cultural groups present in the city. Thirdly, the congregation is taking a step of faith to invest in a building project.

The current building is too small to welcome new visitors and allow the growth they envision. It is now for sale, with the hope to purchase a single-story building (pictured above). With a great location in the city center, this 1,560 square-foot space is within the financial reach of the church, with some extra help. Beyond the income from the sale of the building, they need to raise 62,000€.
