The following is a description of a ministry project of Impact France in collaboration with La Cité.
La Cité – Paris Christian Church
« Rebuild and restore the city of their ancestors that lies in ruins » (Nehemiah)
It is to answer this call that Frederic and Vanessa Dalais arrived in Paris in 2009 with their two young boys. Frederic found a job and they started the church in their living room with a vision: “To know Jesus and make Him known, in Paris and from Paris to the ends of the earth, for the glory of God”.
Over time, the work grew, a third son was born, and Fred and Vanessa’s living room became too small. A first location was rented, and this urban church chose the name La Cité (the city, a reference to Psalm 48).
In 14 years, la Cité has welcomed and equipped hundreds of people from around the world, hosting conferences for pastors and churches from France, Europe and beyond, in collaboration with New Covenant Ministries International (ncmi.net). Many come to faith for the first time, are baptized, discipled, find purpose and meaning in their lives and experience healing or restoration.
Who we are: A Christian church based in Paris, in partnership with New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI) and a community of Parisians from all over the world and of all ages, with a heart for Paris and for France. All are welcome to come and worship with us!
Our vision: To be a church that knows Jesus and makes Him known in Paris and from Paris for His glory.
Our heart: Our desire and passion are to see the Kingdom of God increasingly established here in Paris. To see His City (the church), His Ways and His Reign established. This includes seeing the captives set free, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, people realizing their unique identity and calling, as well as many other things, on Earth, in Paris, as it is in Heaven.
Our culture: We want to be intentional in developing a culture of authenticity, with family values, an apostolic vision, humility, and love.
Our goals: To extend the Kingdom of God in Paris through the authentic expression of the Gospel, through preaching and through discipleship and to build a base church that will act as a launching pad for France and Europe.
