Lorenzo and Marie-Alice Monge

Marie Alice and Lorenzo have built their ministry around one single objective: proclaim the Gospel to everyone who has not heard of it in France, their country and their French culture!

In case you didn’t know, only 1% of the French people claim to be evangelical. The rest of the population considers themselves to be atheist, Muslim, Catholic, or broadly non-believers. They’re really not comfortable with the idea of church. “Creating a church for everyone who does not like the church, but don’t have an issue with God ” is the vision of the ministry led by Marie-Alice and Lorenzo.

After being youth pastors, creating a music band who toured all around France, and creating a church with this vision (Eglise de la Brie, in the Paris area), they enter in a new phase of their ministry. Lorenzo became a full time military chaplain in 2020, and in 2025, they follow their call by being deployed for two years in French Guiana (a French territory in South America). Marie-Alice quit her ministry at Eglise de la Brie to follow Lorenzo in his new assignment, with two of their five children. She will support Lorenzo with a new ministry for women, soldiers’s wives, and families.

Their heart and their vision will be the same. As a couple, they want to develop a ministry of encouraging churches to be open to unchurched people (particularly soldiers and theirs families) and welcome them cleverly, so they can follow God and develop a relationship with Jesus. With their combined 30 years of being pastors, they want to share what they experienced, faced, and learned and bring their expertise to pastors and church leaders. They also have a couple and family ministry.

By being a light in the darkness and reaching out to people that not a lot of people have contact with, they have a unique ministry.
