Working with friends and family, Impact France has opened a fund to support the training of gospel ministers in France in honor of Edward Nelson.
We are honored to include a note from his wife Laura below:
Priez donc le Seigneur de la moisson d’envoyer des ouvriers dans sa moisson Matthieu 9,38
Ce que tu as entendu de moi en présence de nombreux témoins, confie-le à des personnes fidèles qui soient capables de l’enseigner aussi à d’autres 2 Timothée 2,2
As we come to terms with Edward’s tragic passing, we are inspired by the life he lived for Jesus and grateful for the outpouring of love we received. We miss him as husband, father, pastor, friend but also as a committed mentor for young ministers.
Everyone who knew him knew how passionate Edward was about the Gospel and for training workers for the harvest. The last sixteen years, he mentored and encouraged over 100 people to be trained for ministry in some capacity.
So desiring to obey Jesus’ teaching, to follow in Paul’s footsteps and to honor Edward’s life work, we are creating an organization that will carry on his legacy of training ministers to share Christ.
With approximately 1 church for every 32,000 people (compared to 1 for every 1,000 people in the US), France needs our help to train and send more of God’s workers on the field.
Thank you for your generous support and all praise to our great God for His Gospel.

Jesus was the ultimate storyteller. His stories changed—and continue to change—millions of lives. The Bible itself is the bestselling book of all time!
Storytelling is a vital component in the saving of souls and expansion of God’s Kingdom. For many years, I have used written stories to tell others of the grace of Jesus Christ. In 2020, however, I have felt the Lord lead me towards visual storytelling as a vehicle to share His message and ultimately glorify His name. Thanks to some strategic US partners like Impact France, LEAD, and Appleton Alliance Church donating equipment and professional editing software, I have already completed a video project with some missionaries to help them raise support and awareness regarding the lack of gospel access in Asia.
I am now turning my focus to 6 imminent projects in various parts of France. They are all driven by one purpose: the advancement of the Gospel both here and abroad. People all over the world MUST have gospel access. It’s simply inexcusable if they do not.
As fortunate as I am to have the basic necessary equipment, there are still a few vital things missing. The goal is to find partners to raise at least €2200. These funds will allow me to have all the technical equipment needed to continue to share the stories and testimonies that could otherwise remain untold. I truly believe France can be a nation that impacts the world and that together we can tell the greatest story ever told, the story of Jesus Christ.
David has been serving on a church planting team in Toulouse, France since early 2014. Toulouse is a very influential city, but with very few healthy churches. God has immensely blessed the church plant which has since multiplied and hopes to now become a training center for Christian leaders from all over France to proclaim the gospel faithfully for the eternal good of many and for the everlasting glory of God.
The Institut Supérieur Protestant Mathurin Cordier is a professional training center whose vision is the transformation of higher education in France. The goal of the current training curriculum and the curriculum being created is to provide professional tools to students, according to a biblical world view. They aim to accompany the increase in the number of activity projects that bear Christian principles and values. In a broad sense, the institute is at the service of the society, offering postgraduate degree courses, or training à la carte, to youth, families or schools, and each person or team with an entrepreneurial project. At this time, the institute offers the course “Education and Pedagogy,” with the goal of training teachers according to a Christian world view. It is a tool to provide workers in the growing field of Christian school education in France.
